stop receiving update scripts emails, Site no longer exists but still receive update emails (1 Replies, Read 870 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 1 Status:	I had a wordpress site for a conference some years ago with a Softaculous theme. It has long ceased to exist and I no longer own the domain. However I get regular emails which suggest I update the scripts. It says to unsubscribe I should log in to the site's control panel but this is clearly not possible. How can I unsubscribe now. I cannot even use the email address associated with the site as it was associated with the domain. Lyn

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5647 Status:	Hi, The emails are sent from Softaculous installed on the web host's server, we do not have access to this server. When you terminated your services with your host it looks like the account was not terminated properly hence the emails are sent. I would suggest you to contact the web host to terminate your account completely and then you should not receive emails.
