Topic : Bug when switching php version

Posted By: bhargavmehta on April 3, 2015, 7:15 am
Hi,
When i try to switch between 2 php versions it throws errors.
Errors depends on to which version i am switching.
Steps to reproduce the issue:-
1) fresh install of ampps.
2) Open Ampps.
3) Go to php
4) Go to change php version.
5) Change to 5.5 or 5.6
6) apply

Note:- This whole process has to be done in fresh install only. This has been found out when apache is on and off both conditions.

Hi, I have the same issue when I want to change the php version in a pc with Windows 7 - Ampps 2.4, and also in a laptop with windows 8.1 - Ampps 3.0, Is there a solution?, or Is there a way to change the php version manually?.

Thanks and Regards.

Hi there,

I'm using the latest AMPPS version 4.6.1 on the latest OSX 10.10.3 and I'm not able to switch the php versions. It is always 5.3 no matter what I do.

I select i.e. 5.5. or 5.4, hit the "Apply" button, restart apache, go back to the PHP settings and it is still 5.3 selected.

I also tried to start AMPPS from the terminal as normal user and with sudo, but nothing helped. I'm stuck with the good old php 5.3... It would be great if you are able to help me.

Many regards
Michael

Sorry, got it fixed. If I stop the complete server (apache + mysql), I can switch php versions. Then start server again. It does not work while apache is running. Sorry for the post...
