| how to add featured images on posts ,like a thumbnail please guide me |

Hi,
Add a Rich Text field, go and hit the Add Media button, in the window that opens up you will find "Featured Image" on the left. Click that and select the image you want to use as the Featured Image at the top of the blog post.
