Topic : CentOS 7 - WebPanel 7 - Magento 2.3 installation failing

Hi,

I hope someone can help me.

I'm running a CentOS 7 + WebPanel 7 server with a single user package.
The server is currently configured with apache, php-fpm 7.2.15 and uses ssl.
After installing Magento 2.3 through softaculous I get "500 Internal server error" messages when trying to access the magento store or the admin area.

A phphinfo file created to check whether php is configured correctly will also fail.
Removing .htaccess in the folder solved the problem for the phpinfo file but magento index.php throws a "this page is not working error".
(PHPInfo shows the memory size at 756M)

I checked the apache logs but nothing shows up here.

I also tried the same using nginx instead of apache. Here I see the index.php but without the css applied, accessing admin or any other page gives a 404 error.

After spending a few days trying to figure this out, I hope someone can give me pointers in the right direction to get this sorted.

Thanks !

Hi,

It seems there is some rule in the default .htaccess shipped by Magento. It looks like one of the rules is not supported on your server.

If you can open a support ticket with us we can check this for you.
