I was using this product but upgraded my dedicated server and the hosting company refused to copy this program over.

I now have 3 dedicated servers and the mysql runs on it's own server and I can not use localhost for a connection now I have to use the firewall IP.

My question is can this program be configured to us the IP instead of localhost?

I was using the paid version and not the free one.

i did a search for localhost before i posted my question but all the topics that dlet with my subject went into privite pm so I couldn't see the resolve.

Softaculous uses the cPanel API.
The cPanel API returns mysql host as localhost.
If you have to use another MySQL host you will first have to configure cPanel.
Otherwise it will not be able to create databases itself.
