 Way to preview website before changing DNS? (1 Replies, Read 39670 times)

I have moved my WP site to a VPS server where Webuzo is installed, but after plugging everything up correctly (database, placing site files in the right folder), I have to switch DNS records to see if the move worked (I've had to try twice so far, but got no results).

Now, if I choose an automated softaculous WP installation, the basic site will function when I switch DNS, but if I overwrite those files with my WP installation (and reconfigure the database settings correctly in wp-config), I will get an error.

Is there a way to preview the website without having to switch DNS? Do you have an idea what configuration may be preventing my WP site from functioning in the correct /www/ folder? (I had created the domain too... it was all set, as far as I could tell).
