Topic : modifying a theme

Posted By: moshe on August 30, 2018, 2:22 am
When I started sitebuilder I was asked to choose a theme, which I did.  I see how to add elements using the drag and drop.  But how do I delete items included in the template?

Take a look at the attached file.  The page title, the "new page" tag, and the four columns at the bottom are part of the template.  I can't figure out how to delete this stuff.  I managed to change the metadata to include our organization's name, and I was able to insert our logo, but then I'm stuck with all that mess.  The host's help people are useless, and the documentation is almost as useless.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

You can check the given documentation on How to Create a Website for better understanding:
https://sitepad.com/wiki/Create_Website

Also, you will need to give the Page a Title in the Title Column shown in the Editor on the navigation bar. And it seems to be showing only Header and Footer since there is no content on the page.

Do let us know if you need any other information.

There is no information in the documentation that says how to remove items included with the theme template.  The documentation explains how to add and remove items the user selects from the available modules, but not the built-ins.

Hi,

When you select the builtin part your will see the delete Icon on top of the navigation bar you can remove the builtin part. In case it is an image/video assigned to a row then you can directly click on the three vertical dots and remove the Image/Video.

Do let us know if you need any other information.

It turns out that the theme I was using was somehow broken in that it was not editable.  When I selected a different theme the problem went away.

Hi,

It might be possible that you Activated a Theme on another theme without resetting the full site creating a broken theme. Hence it might be causing the issue.

Glad to know your issue has been resolved.
