Topic : Wordpress Autoupdate despite asking "Do not autoupdate"

Posted By: Prickly on March 29, 2023, 8:20 pm
Hello
As a Wordpress user, we know new versions often break a site.

For this very reason, I had specified "No autoupdate" in the configuration panel.

Yet the script updated my WP version to 6.2

Rolling back will unnecessary increase my work and my client will suffer.

Any solutions?

Hi,

If you selected do not auto update option in Softaculous then Softaculous will not update your installation.

However WordPress itself has an auto update mechanism and it seems the update was performed by WordPress.

You can refer to the following guide on how to disable auto update via wp-config.php file :

Brijesh, so do you confirm that Softacolous auto update features (I mean Core, Plugin and also Theme) is not based on the standard auto update feature of the latest wordpress versions (i.e. as WPToolkit does?).

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Yes Softaculous has its own auto update process and does not use auto upgrade features built in WordPress itself.
