Hi,

The title itself explains the question.

I do not want to lots of databases for each WordPress setup.  I just want to create one db and use that same db for all of my (or most of my) WordPress setups with different table prefixes.

Is it possible with ampps?

Thank you,

Hi,

At the moment it is not possible to use the same database for multiple installations via Softaculous. However you can try using WordPress Multi Site to manage multiple WordPress installations with the same database.

Yes, that is what i am doing now.  I have been using multi site WordPress and installing each setup in a separate network.

However, the issue is, I am not able to clone a single network when needed.

Thank you for the reply,

Hi,

Yes the Clone will clone the complete WordPress installation.

I have passed this to the developers and we will see if we can add the option to install multiple apps to the same database.
