Hi,

Is your MySQL service even running ?

You can us the following guide to restart it:
http://webuzo.com/wiki/Restart_services

Alternately, execute the following command:
Root > service mysqld restart

my.cnf is located at /etc/my.cnf

It is recommended that you do not alter configurations unknowingly which might cause the MySQL server to crash.

Did you remove the my.cnf file ?
Are you on CentOS or some other distro ?

Increase post_max_size as well in the /usr/local/emps/etc/php.ini

Hope this helps :)

Nope :) ,  Like I wrote I canupload 500mb sql or file. I changed  php.ini in 3 different and this is not problem about size or time out, problem is somwhere deeper in a code.  I tested this on 3 different VPS and there is still same problem with bigger SQL.
