Topic : License issue - No reply from support

Hi,

I bought a yearly license for Sitepad about a month ago in Softaculous. (the Business version) The workflow used to be:

- Open up my Softaculous in my hosting
- Go to Sitepad and choose the desired domain to install on
- Install Sitepad
- Activate license in sitepad

Now there has been an update of Sitepad and I cannot activate my license anymore. The button to insert my license is gone, the only given option is to buy a license (which I already did for up to 10 websites only a month ago)

How can I activate my license?

Hi,

I'm not sure if anyone from support reads these posts!
I found this for you https://sitepad.com/docs/admin/how-to-refresh-license/#refresh-license-via-cli

It might not apply to your setup, it's confusing as there seems to be 2 different versions of sitepad, One which you install and license per server, and another which is installed via softaculous for individual domains.

I had a license for my server but sitepad stopped working after an update, it would not write files / folders correctly, after a lot of mails and support I got a refund, Now I let clients install from softaculous and buy a pro license if they wish, simpler that way.

I still didn't receive a solution for this issue.

Lately I get a completely different version of Sitepad when I open it in Softaculous. I'm getting a version that is much more difficult to use, no undo button, can't insert my license anymore,...

I'm using Vimexx as hosting provider and they also don't know what's causing this and are pointing fingers at Softaculous/ Sitepad. While Sitepad is asking ssh/root access to look into the problem but offcourse the hosting provider is not willing to provide this.

In attachment you can see the difference between the 2 versions (version 2 is the one I'm getting now, and do not like.) No one seems to be able to tell me how to return to version 1.  :-(

Hi,
I have same as you now, installed through Softaculous.  If you close that page editor and go down the left menu to "plans" there is a license button there.

Have you try the more or less standard Ctrl-Z key combination to undo you work?
