Hi,

Softaculous supports CentOS. You can find the complete list of requirements here:

Hi,

Sir this is because most of the Control Panels supports only CentOS.

I think it's a misunderstanding: I was interested in since when supports only centOS and no other OS, not the reason why...
I mean earlier it worked with other opsystems - as softacouls wiki mentions this fact also - and I wonder when was it changed?
Thank you for your answer!

Ioncube Loaders
The Ioncube loaders will be enabled by Softaculous itself for CentOS but if you are using any other OS then please follow these two steps to enable Ioncube:
Download the required Ioncube file and rename the file to ioncube.so
Place the file in the following directory

Hi,

Sir we support only CentOS. If the users would like to use it in some other OS they might do so, but we won't be able to provide support on that.

Hi,

Softaculous will work on cPanel and DirectAdmin on Ubuntu and other OS but it wont work with other Panels. So just to avoid confusion we have stopped support for OS other than CentOS as most of the servers are using CentOS.
