Hi,

I launch Ampps and suggestion is made to update it.
Fine i click on update and i have the message "Please switch php version to 5.3 on click on update again".

I'm surprised but whatever, i want to make the update so, from the control panel, i switch to php 5.3. Update process tells me the same things again so i shutdown ampps and start it again but apparently php is still 5.4 so the update is still not possible.

Any idea ?

Hi,

Before switching, make sure php is not running. Also the AMPPS directories or the files are not in use.

The switch works fine if we believe the control panel but it's not as php info show release 5.4.11. Then i stopped apache and mysql, ask for update again but still the same error message.

So, instead of just  stopping apache and mysql, i quited ampps, went back to the update windows, clicked update but same message again.

On the other hand, i didn't follow the note "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012".
So i downloaded and installed it, but same bad result.

We also have the AMPPS admin with its updates page mentionning :
Current Version    2.4
Latest Version      2.4
So i don't understand, is there an update or not ?

Also, i don't understand why the "Change php version" from the control panel does not work.

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. Please refer this to understand the different versions:

Also can you let us know the directory structure ?

I will try to explain you in short :
If PHP 5.3 is active then the directory structure should be:
Ampps\php (PHP 5.3)
Ampps\php-5.2 (PHP 5.2)
Ampps\php-5.4 (PHP 5.4)
Ampps\php-5.5 (PHP 5.5)

If PHP 5.4 is active then the directory structure should be:
Ampps\php (PHP 5.4)
Ampps\php-5.2 (PHP 5.2)
Ampps\php-5.3 (PHP 5.3)
Ampps\php-5.5 (PHP 5.5)

Please open a ticket if you are facing any issues. We will look into it.

My directory structure is :

Ampps\php
Ampps\php-5.2 (PHP 5.2)
Ampps\php-5.3 (PHP 5.3)
Ampps\php-5.4 (PHP 5.4)

Should i open a ticket ?

Your PHP seems to correspond to PHP 5.5

To confirm run the following command:

Code
"path\to\php\php.exe" -n -v


replace path\to with correct path and don't skip the double quotes

Let us know the output.
