Topic : Virtual Host

So I'm having the same problem that a lot of other people have with virtual host setup. no matter what I do if I change the file through ampps, then it willl always go to the root, if I change my vhost file and change the httpd.conf then a curious thing happens when I

sudo /Applications/AMPPS/apache/bin/httpd:
AH00112: Warning: DocumentRoot
[/Applications/AMPPS/apache/Applications/AMPPS/www/websites/addliquid] does not exist

It seems that when I change the file and put in the exact same info as vhost.conf results in this error, if I modify the contents of the file in anyway it doesn't matter, this error pops up and the website can't be found of course. switching back to the original vhost file will always result in showing the root of ampps, something is adding modifications to the root path in any modified vhost file that I create and I can't seem to figure it out.
