Topic : Script update option is not showing

In my Softaculous account, Magento 2.1.5 got automatically upgraded to 2.1.6 very recently. However, I can't see the upgrade function at the end user's account. It is still showing the previous version (2.1.5).

Hi,

Is it not updated in Softaculous records or is it not updated in the Magento admin panel ?

Hi Brijesh,
The latest version of Magento script upgraded in Softaculous's Admin records. But the update is not available to end users. Please see attachment.

Hi,
Magento upgrade from 2.x to latest version requires CLI method and so it is not possible to provide the same via Softaculous at the moment. You can upgrade your installation by visiting Magento dashboard.

Aren't you working on fixing this?
Upgrading Magento with CLI is a headache. I need Softaculous's simplicity here as well.

Hi Brijesh,

Of course, you can make it; I have confidence in you.
Please don't exclude Magento from your upgradable scripts list. As per my understanding, Softaculous is a one-click installer + one-click upgrade.

Bottom Line: I am not a reseller, I bought Softaculous licence mainly to manage Magento for my online store. Sometimes, I am scared of CLI thus I landed on Softaculous ☺

Hi Dharmesh,

It is not possible to upgrade Magento via Softaculous because it can be upgraded from CLI and Magento admin panel only.

You will need to upgrade Magento manually via CLI or by visiting Magento admin panel.
