Hi, I'm new to Sitemush & am trying to build a website using the Travel template. I can't find a way to place a text box on top of an image - every time I try, the image moves to the right. It would be great if the demo site was available to edit so I could get a feel for how it was created, as the documentation is somewhat scarce for  creating a website.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,

For that you can simply add text and then add image to its background.

See the image down below. SiteMush uses row and column algorithm to place every widgets and holder.

So the one I highlighted in circle is row. So when ever you add a text to a column click on the row. You will find the action tab open for that row in that you can see different option such as video, youtube, parallax, images, slider etc. You can use image and then scroll in the action tab you will find add image option.

Do let us know if you need any further information

Many thanks for this....it sort of makes sense (sorry, I'm struggling here).

So if I want something to look like this - http://demos.sitemush.com/Travel/ where I have the full width slider & a test box placed in the middle of it, how would I achieve this? If I add a text box with a slider as the background, I get the full width slider but it's only as high as the text box.

Apologies in advance, I'm sure I'm missing something really simple here, but I'm sure that once I get my head around it, the software will be great.

Thanks again!

Hi,

It seems you are editing the row of the textbox instead of the row needed.

Just check the image below you will need to edit the upper row to get full body slider like shown in the theme.

Do let us know if you need any other information.

Hey, thanks so much for your support but I'm throwing the towel in. If I remove the text box, I don't have the option to edit any rows & the footer is at the top of the page.

I've given it a shot, but I need something that's easier to get to grips with as I don't have a great deal of time. I'll see what else is out there.

Thanks again!
