How can I install on VPS 14.04 LTS Ubuntu

Also will it work with 16.04 LTS

I have my own Ubuntu VPS but no control panel, just looking to easily install wordpress websites, whats the easiet and most secure way of doing this?

Hi,

You need to install a Control Panel to install Softaculous as a plugin to install WordPress.

You can install any of the below Control Panels to install Softaculous:

You can also install Webuzo Control Panel which comes with pre-installed Softaculous and to install WordPress you will have to Purchase Premium Webuzo License.

You can't do it without a control panel and even then it must be an approved control panel. If you don't want to use one of their approved control panels which from my understanding only ISPConfig, Plesk, and Webmin work with Ubuntu. Webuzo works with Ubuntu as well but requires a separate license so you would still need to do the next step I'm about to tell you anyways. Your best option is to open a ticket requesting a refund as most likely you've never officially activated the license which they can tell. If you want to install wordpress easily then try doing a google search for, install wordpress ubuntu, you'll find many different tutorials on how you can install wordpress on an ubuntu server. Of course, Softaculous support won't provide you with information on how to do this because they want your money or they want the control panel developers money so they have deals setup with certain ones which they will work with. They'll probably delete my post too because I'm providing you with advice that directs you away from giving them money.
