Softaculous

Topic : Support for Flarum

It would be amazing if you guys could add support for Flarum in Softaculous. Flarum is an amazing piece of forum software unlike any others, but sadly, it is not easy to install for users with low technical knowledge or users without SSH access. I've seen some other apps in Softaculous that would also normally require SSH access to install, so I can't see why this wouldn't be possible, since it's a single composer command to get the files and dependencies. Their website is https://flarum.org.

Actually, it is quite stable. A lot of people use it in production, including me, with no problems. Sure, there are a few bugs, but really only minor ones. That's just a warning from them in the docs, and I can say this because I know the developers.

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion.

Since the install docs clearly state that the software is in beta and they have also stated sooner or later it will break and "Don’t use it in production".

Unfortunately since this is mentioned on their website we cannot add it to Softaculous until they release a stable version.

We will check back later and if they release a stable version we will definitely review it again.

Hi everyone!

I just saw that Flarum is now stable and out of Beta:

https://docs.flarum.org/install.html

I hope your team will consider this to be added to all the awesome apps people can install easily with Softaculous.
