I'm encountering an issue with the SoftWP plugin during the onboarding process for a new WordPress site. When I reach the first step—where I'm supposed to select a professional template and recommended plugins—I get a red error box with no explanation or details (screenshot attached). The message says “error” with a red X icon, and nothing else.

Hosting environment:

  • cPanel shared hosting
  • PHP 8.0.30
  • WordPress 6.8.3
  • Softaculous version: 2.3.2


Is this a known issue with the SoftWP onboarding flow? Could it be a connectivity problem with the Softaculous servers or a missing configuration file?

Any guidance would be appreciated—especially if there’s a way to enable debug mode or manually trigger the onboarding process.
