Topic : How to re-enable disabled scripts

Posted By: eleigh on October 10, 2018, 9:50 am
Hi!
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I recently found that my host has upgraded to php7.2. My cms's were using php7.0. Since they upgraded recently, I have found my sites were moved to the "Disabled Scripts Installations". I need to upgrade these sites and wonder how I can re-enable them again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The scripts can be enabled/disabled only from Softaculous admin panel so you will need root access to enable/disable a script.

If you are on Shared hosting you will need to ask your host to enable the script you need.

Thank you.

I'll get on to my host tomorrow and see if they can help.

I have already contacted my host several times about this issue and they seem to plead ignorance every time!!

Sorry to ask more of you... but what exactly do I need to ask my host for?

Hi,

Tell them that you are using the script. Give them the script name and ask them if they have disabled the mentioned script.

If yes can they enable that script as you would like to use that script.

You can also give them the following guide on how to enable/disable a script :

Thank you so much for the information. Unfortunately some of my web host's support staff didn't know what I was talking about.

My host has now fixed this problem. :)
