Topic : Restore backup from another server

I'm trying to restore a backup from another server but have a question about the serialisation count mentioned here: http s://www.softaculous.com/docs/enduser/how-to-restore-a-backup-on-a-new-server/. Mainly where is it and how do I update it?

Kind regards,

Tom

I created a support ticket and received the following:

Quote
Untar the backup file, locate the backup info file which has the same name as the backup file without any file extensions.

Update the below values in the backup info file:
softpath, path, softdb, softdbuser, softurl, softdomain

>>Could you tell me where to find the serialization count and how to update it?
Below is an example of updating the serialization count of the softpath
old softpath: s:8:"softpath";s:22:"/home/soft/public_html";
new softpath: s:8:"softpath";s:29:"/home/softaculous/public_html";

Serialization count refers to the number of characters, the count needs to be updated when the values are updated/changed.

Hopes this helps anyone else

Regards,

Tom
