Topic : Security in New SitePad System

Posted By: Vigunu on March 20, 2020, 10:23 pm
Hi.
You say that SitePad is safe but I have seen that when creating a new website with the new editor the file index.php has this ...

$sitepad['db_name'] = 'zzz_spadXXX';
$sitepad['db_user'] = 'zzz_spadXXX';
$sitepad['db_pass'] = 'J80sxxxxZFY';
$sitepad['db_host'] = 'localhost';

Permissions are 644.

It is very easy to see the password in index.php. All the world. It is right?

Hi,

The index.php is a config file and within your home folder.
Its not simply accessible by another user on your server.
However as a more stronger method we are giving the admin the option to set the permissions to suite their servers configuration in the upcoming version 1.2.6.

Regards
