Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	I've adding a custom script if I add it to an existing category 1) it does not appear in top scripts at the top 2) it does not appear in the center area with a description and listing it only appears in the left side menu as a text entry What have I missed? How can I have a center area listing and icon and can I make my own script, my own top app? seems reasonable ;-) Many thanks Peter

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5652 Status:	Hi, You can add your custom script in top scripts go to Softaculous Admin panel -> Settings select the "Show custom script(s) logo in TOP scripts" checkbox and click on "Edit Settings" button. Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	Many thanks Let me just explain what we're trying to do (it may horrify you - lol) We only want SA to display our own suite of scripts - NO opensource ones. We only have 1 custom script right now, but more will come. With SA general apps turned off I've had to put our custom app in OTHER as I can;t seem to CREATE a category? Anyway this is all we see screencast screen grab Was hoping for a little more visual than the text list on the left margin. Note we have no top apps and no MIDDLE area rows, like you get with GENERAL apps. Is that all we can achieve right now "visually"? many thanks Peter

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5652 Status:	Hi, I discussed this with our development team and they confirmed that the feature to use custom logos for custom scripts has been implemented in Softaculous core. You can simply create a new directory with the name "topscripts" at the following path : Code /path/to/softaculous/enduser/themes/default/images/topscripts/ and upload the logo of size 160X160 with extension "png". The name of the logo should be "SOFTACULOUS_NAME.png" Softaculous name is the one you used while adding your custom script from Softaculous Admin panel. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	YES thanks, we installed that. We do indeed have a generic crate icon for our script now :-) I tried creating a top scripts folder and icon. I wasn't sure if you meant ALL upper case, but I tried all 3 versions SOFTACULOUS_NAME.png SOFTACULOUS_name.png (the actual app name is lower case) softaculous_name.png but not of them seem to appear? You said the path was yo; /path/to/softaculous/enduser/themes/default/images/topscripts/ AFAIK the manual browse path takes me to /usr/local/cpanel/base/softaculous/enduser/themes/default/images/topscripts/ does that seem correct? it doesn't seem to show my icon. I guess there's a more reliable way to find the actual path to SA ? Many thanks Peter

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	YES Houston we have life off ;-) I would have described the icon name as appname.png When you described it as SOFTALICIOUS_APPNAME.png I take you literaly as meaning upper case including SA as a prefix. The path did resolve to what you said when I clicked a shortcut. But the path to cpanel should not be a great secret ;-) Anyway; TOTALLY AWESOME we now have an app name!

Two small issues; 1) in the 2nd scroll of the icon I have a top right inset icon which is missing it links to https://www.softaculous.com/images/softimages/32/10001__logo.gif which is not my site of course Where can I change this image path to point at my own server image? 2) Are we able to set the star rating, or is that truly a community vote? Can we disable the stars, as this is a custom script a community will not be able to vote on Many thanks again Peter

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5652 Status:	Hi, We have applied a patch on your server to disable Ratings on the Top Scripts page and also now you can upload the 32X32 icons at the following path : /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/enduser/themes/default/images/topscripts/32/ The icon should be of the size 32X32 and name should be scriptid__logo.gif in your case it will be 10001__logo.gif ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool
