Elgg 2.3.5, Anybody got it working? (3 Replies, Read 839 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Working Newbie Posts: 74 Status:	Anybody been able to get a fresh Elgg 2.3.5 installation working? When I install it and go to login as administrator, I get a message: Sorry. We could not find the page that you requested. Trying to manually install it, seems to send the process in loops. Not sure if this is a Softaculous issue, an Elgg issue, or a server configuration issue (and if so... what? I'm not seeing any errors in the PHP error_log or the web server error log).

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5652 Status:	Hi, We tested Elgg 2.3.5 installation on our test servers and it worked fine. From the issue you are explaining it seems there is some rule in .htaccess file in your parent folder which is restricting access to the installation pages. Is there any .htaccess file ? Can you try to rename it to .htaccess.bak and see if the Elgg installation works fine ? If it works fine without the .htaccess rename back the .bak file to .htaccess and check which rule is causing the issue. If you want we can check this for you. Group: Member Post Group: Working Newbie Posts: 74 Status:	This looked to be an issue with the account not being allowed to POST data. Once that was resolved, the installation worked. So this issue has been resolved.
