I'm having trouble with domains I'm creating browsing as if they are another folder of the same name within themselves.
Example:
somedomain.tld/somedomain.tld
I did these steps:
- Created a domain, entered 'somedomain.local' in top box, left box checked for parked, domain path looks correct ('Applications/AMPPS/www/somedomain.local')
- Installed WordPress with Softaculus installer, chose proper domain, left directory box blank for installation in the root, install completed properly
- double checked that hosts file has somedomain.local pointed to localhost, its good
Now when I browse to somedomain.local I see an index with a folder of the same name in it (somedomain.local). When I browse that, WordPress loads but the the theme does not and its unstyled, no CSS. The URL in the address bar reads 'somedomain.local/somedomain.local'.
Is the issue with configuration on my machine, AMPPS, Apache or other? Please help!
I'm on a Mac on OS 10.15 and AMPPS 3.9, installed fresh today.
