Hi,
Sir at the moment when you take a backup of the main domain it will backup all the sub directories. We are working on the solution to backup only the files related to installation on the root domain and will add it soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |

Hi,
We are beta testing the fix and will launch it with the next version of Softaculous. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |

That is great news. Will it work on current installations or just new installations? |

artifice,
We have the backup script designed in such a way that it should not consume more than 2-3 mb ram in given second and hence should not consume much IO. I would be happy to debug this, however we will need root access to your server to debug this. You can open a support ticket with us with the root details and we will check this for you : https://www.softaculous.com/support/ ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |

This particular test installation is on a shared hosting plan so I don't have root access to the machine, but I can follow up with the host themselves and see if they would be willing to work on it with you. I'm not sure how memory usage relates to IOPS though.. IOPS is more of a speed throttling issue rather than a memory usage issue. |

Hi,
The backup process should not increase the IOPS as well. Can you please check if there is any other script on your server scheduled to run at the same time which could be causing the IOPS to increase ? If you can ask your host to open a support ticket with us we can investigate this further. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |

It's the only cron job running at that hour.
I'll contact my host and see if they're willing to do that, thanks. |

Hi,
It looks like you have reached the maximum backups allowed for your account. Can you please login to your cPanel -> Softaculous -> Backups and check if you have already used maximum backups allowed and if possible can you delete unwanted backups and see if you still face the issue. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |
