When cloning Joomla 3.4.4, the .htaccess is not cloned, leading to issues in the cloned site. Please clone the .htaccess files.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

We do clone the .htaccess file as well. Can you please check the permission of the .htaccess file ? It could be possible that if the .htaccess file is not readable then Softaculous will not be able to clone it.

I just tried cloning it again and the .htaccess is not cloned. The permissions are 644, which is correct. In fact, now I've noticed that folders that are not joomla folders and other non-Joomla files in the root directory are not cloned either. Your cloning has a lot of issues. Please fix, as it is not usable currently for Joomla 3.4.4 clones.

Hi,

You can select the files associated with your installation which you would like to be cloned from the Edit Installation page.

Once you have selected these files those files will be cloned.

Please let us know if you still face the issue.

OK, I missed that. You have to select .htaccess in order to have it included in the clone. Seems to work fine when I select all "non-Joomla" files.
