Topic : serialized data are getting lost on duplicate

when duplicating wordpress serialized data are getting lost.
for example with divi from elegant themes...
all the settings lost on duplicate.

please check. hope it will bet fixed :-)

I realize this post is a couple years old, but I have the same issue when duplicating a staging site with InMotion Hosting using Softaculous. What doesn't copy with Divi: Customizer settings and Theme Options settings.

For those who might find this useful, a quick workaround is to export you Customizer and Theme Options settings (click up/down arrows near the top) from the staging site and import them into the final destination website. It takes maybe 2-3 minutes, and it saves you from having to go in and check what didn't transfer, fixing it, etc.

Hello,

Just to add that this doesn't only affect Divi. We found the exact same problem in another theme (Citrus by Buddha Themes).

The same issue, the theme options data was all missing and the theme essentially reset to default. I suspect there is a bug with how this data is copied.

This affects cloning and staging.

I have also submitted a ticket on this.
