I see. I didn't know about that new configuration. Was it in the tutorials on how to install Softaculous?

I think you need to put this and also the step that after installation the Update must be ran so the XML error will not be encountered

=============

We have provided the alternative.
Just go to Your Softaculous Admin Panel -> Settings
There you will see Files and Folder Permissions to be assigned.
Leave blank for automatic detection or put 0755 for suPHP and suEXEC

We
had to give this alternative as all environments dont show / allow
detection of certain components. Hence the Admin just needs to specify
the file & folder permissions once in case automatic detection is
failing in your environment.

Also we test each software and Softaculous several times before the release of any version.

Regards,
Alons

But that doesnt take away the fact that softaculous MUST write a documentation on the common issues and how to resolve it. So people will not go here and write the same problems over and over again. It's just time consuming and FRUSTRATING, oh, and to that fact that in Fantastico I dont get all these problems. Im just trying to help by suggesting something that will benefit everybody so if you don't have anything helpful to say maybe its good to keep your mouth shut, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
