I have  25 websites , and i have of course to move (export/import) 25 databases but not  a single file
there is an option in MAMP (and WAMP I guess) to  set the root where you want

Mac and Windows are different. I won't go into the details, just know what some things may work differently between the two systems.

I'm not going to belabor the point. The real issue is that THIS software hasn't updated in far too long, and I just cannot keep waiting to see if there will be any further development. So, jump ship and use whatever works however it works.

As for this topic, I'm kinda done. No point flagellating a deceased equine any further.]]>

MAMP on mac there is no needs to move the files, only import the databases
It should be the same on WAMP

That's easy if you're only dealing with a couple of databases or so. I had a LOT of data to move, and I've had to do this before when moving from WAMP to AMPPS, actually.

So yeah, if you were only developing a project or two then simple export/import of databases works. Unfortunately that was not the case for me.]]>

Instead, I migrated to Wampserver 64. All you need to do is use PHPMyAdmin in AMPPS to export your databases (with records). Import those databases into your new solution. Then move your physical files from their current WWW directory to the one for Wampserver (or whatever setup your chosen software uses). It may take a little while but it is so worth it. Just be sure to to use a product that is actively maintained and updated.  ]]>
