Please check if there is some authentication failure. >>"relay not permitted" As the above error occurs if any non-authenticated user tries to send mails Sorry, I do not know what you mean as all Client settings are the same, the issue is started only after updating Exim. Now I put back my old Exim configuration and all works fine. I AM pretty sure there are an issue in the update as is the first time that I update Exim than put again my custom Exim conf and I AM unable to send emails. Now I replaced the full configuration file with my old one and all is working. There are issues on the new Exim released by you I think. I see there are a lot of changers also removed text part in the new configuration. ----------------------- PeopleInside Web, security, open source passionate. |

Hi, seems you have the same issue as this topic and customer:
http://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=10341&title=SMTP_connect()_failed. Seems this is a common issue and should fixed, checked by Webuzo. ----------------------- PeopleInside Web, security, open source passionate. |

Maybe remove and reinstall Exim is the first step to do BUT before do this backup your actually Exim configuration.
After you have to see if with the last Exim the issue persist, if persist maybe I suggest to open a ticket https://www.softaculous.com/support/ I AM sorry for the delay on identifying this issue but now I can see is present on two different customer. I think a part of Exim.conf can be missed in Exim and this made the SMTP authentication problematic so you have replay not permitted if you try to send an email to an external email address. Seems no error if you send an email to your internal domain... this was in the fist customer I followed after all my edits for make SSL work in email. ----------------------- PeopleInside Web, security, open source passionate. |
