I have installed a Master Server on a VM and a Slave on a dedicated machine however the slave does not allow me to create storage. I can only create storage on the Master which is on a virtual machine.

I understand that templates are stored on the Master server however, naturally I do not want VM files stored as it makes sense to store them locally on the slave server.

In addition, what it the better setup as I will be using both KVM and OpenVZ. LVM or File based storage ?

I think rather than spend hours and possible days posting and waiting to hear back I may as well pay someone as I havent the time to post here all day hoping to receive a response. :P

Hi,

You can will need to add storage on slave panel via Master panel.
You can select server while adding storage.
For Kvm you can go with Lvm based storage and for OpenVZ ; storage type will be OpenVZ.
