 staging site created but Oops page not found!, Satging is not accessible (6 Replies, Read 3230 times)

Hi,
via cpanel i am going to softaculous and try to manage wordpress installation
i tried many times to create a staging site but always i end up with a success installation but redirect to the main live site.
Just to note i have defender enabled. with 2MFA.
i create also a subdomain to install there but still the same issue
page not found and is actually going to the live site.
in the past i had done easy this time i dont know what is wrong even the clone is the same issue.
any idea or help please ?

Hi,

Are you using object caching ?

Please check your wp-config.php file in the source site and define the salt as the URL of your installation.

Update the WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT to :
define('WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT', 'https://yourdomain.com');

Please replace yourdomain.com with your installation URL.

Then create a new staging and check if you still face the issue.

Hi,
thank you for your reply and helping me out

yes i am using the  redis object cashe.

i check the wp-confing.php but i dont have anything with that WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT

maybe if i disable the casche and then create the staging will help ?

You can add the below line to wp_config.php on the 2nd line and then create a staging and check :
define('WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT', 'https://yourdomain.com');

Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain.

seems better but i dont have front end
only back end now
front end is like
Index of /
    Name    Last modified    Size    Description
    cgi-bin/    2024-08-09 13:44    -   

but now i log in on the back end

Yes it could be due to cache or DNS issue.
