Hi,

If you're using the premium version then you can shift without any issue.

Hi,
upgrade from PHP 5.5 to a major updated version is a good things.

When you will be able to upgrade from PHP 5.5 to PHP 5.6 remember just in PHP from the version 5.6 is changed the way PHP checks certificate so if you are using for example PHP to send emails you may have issues.

You need add this line into your PHP 5.6 configuration:
PHP Code

 [openssl]
openssl.cafile= /path/to/your/.ca-bundle

Where you need to replace all after = with your certificate patch. I have a valid SSL you can try with a self signed certificate or you need a valid SSL.

After do that and saved PHP configuration you can try if for example your Wordpress installation , Ticket or email page works... if are able to send email.

Please remeber: when you upgrade PHP or Apache from System App (Webuzo) all settings of PHP or Apache, etc are resetted to default so if you have a customization you will need to customize again after the update.

Regarding the possibility to update from PHP 5.5 to PHP 5.6 I have asked to Webuzo to verify if the Upgrade is available only for Premium users.
You should see in your Webuzo System App the PHP update or you can go on Apps inside Webuzo and search "PHP" than you will find different version of PHP and are able to install PHP 5.6 however me or Webuzo will update you here with a new reply ... for let you know if the upgrade is available also to free users. Maybe should.

Thank you!
Webuzo is checking for you and will reply to you shortly.

Hi,

You wont be able to do it manually .

Seems a free user are unable to upgrade PHP from 5.5 to 5.6 or superior. If you try to do it manually you will loose the Webuzo panel and broke the server or panel.

I AM sorry to know about this.

Free user have to wait for use PHP 5.6 or superior. PHP 5.6 will be avaiable for free to free user just only when PHP 5.5 will no more supported.

Hi slibbe,

We currently provide PHP 5.5 in the free version of Webuzo , future versions of Webuzo will have  PHP 5.6 as PHP 5.5 support is ended and only security patches are available.

Right. I uninstalled my old version and will consider installing a new version soon, hoping that it has at least 5.5 . Still a great tool to have a look at so many great applications.
