Topic : Installation impossible when software requires a PHP extension

Hi,

I've got a problem to install some softwares via Softaculous, Especially when the software requires a PHP extension.

For example, Prestashop requires the FileInfo extension.

This one is present in the phpinfo :
Board Image

The option is checked in the cPanel PHP configuration :
Board Image

But can not install Prestashop :
Board Image

So I contacted softaculous support, He replied that Softaculous uses the Cagefs binary for checking loaded extension.

So the module is not loaded. So Softaculous support tells me to contact cPanel support .....

The problem is that until recently Softaculous worked very well and suddenly it no longer works on our two cPanel servers (We have 2 paid licenses since October 2016).

I think the problem has appeared since the recent update of Softaculous.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? An idea to solve it?

Hi,

As per our discussion in your ticket, the extension was not loaded in cagefs binary which is /opt/alt/php70/usr/bin/php , please ask cPanel team to enable the extension in the mentioned binary then you should not face the issue.

Hello, i have the same problem, only the extentions are mscript and gd.
Both are enabled from PHP Configuration.
Any suggestions how to proceed?
