I am evaluating Softalicious on a new server. It was easy to install and everything seems to work well, except users can't upgrade when a minor version comes out.

In WHM, it shows the version of Hubzilla is 7.2.2 and the latest version is 7.2.2.

But when you go into cPanel and a user looks at it, if they installed 7.2, they see no option to upgrade to 7.2.2 at all.

How do cPanel users upgrade to a minor version?

As you can see, version 7.2.2 is available, but I cannot find any way to upgrade from 7.2 to 7.2.2. What am I missing?

Hi,

Hubzilla does not have a web upgrade utility and supports on CLI utility for upgrade hence we do not provide the upgrade option in Hubzilla yet. We will try to add it soon.

Well, that's disappointing. That was basically the whole reason I signed up for the trial... to avoid having to update it via the command line. Thanks for letting me know. And I appreciate you working on supporting it.

Would it be possible to reverse engineer the util/udall script and just do the same thing? All it does is grab a copy of the latest version via git and then overwrites the files, which is pretty much what your script installer does. The only difference is where the files come from.

And there is also another issue. the util/udall script does appear to not work with Softaculous installs, meaning a manual update is required. Maybe the udall script is expecting certain git-related files to be there?

Hi,

Extremely Sorry for the delay in response.

We will check the util/udall for the upgrade.

We can not update the files directly as there are no documentations provided for the same and if we do this manually it will not update the Database.

Also there are chances of breaking of the internal functionalities.

We have asked for the upgrade documentations on their forum. We shall update you here with the progress.
