Topic : Error creating WordPress staging environment

Hello,I've been having an issue whilst trying to create a staging environment for a clients website.
I get the error: The directory you typed already exists.
It looks like Softaculous is creating the staging environment beneath the existing wordpress install.

I'd greatful for any help with this as I'm due to make some large changes to the website.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

If you would like to create a Staging instance outside the existing directory you can add a sub-domain and point it to a directory outside the source installation folder.

hi @Brijesh,Many thanks for your response. I've attempted to create the subdomain but receive a generic error message when trying to do so.
This is frustrating as I've previously been able to create staging environments without an issue. I wondered whether this may be a permissions issue?
Any help with this would be gratefully received.RegardsNick
