How does Softaculous determine what extensions are installed for PHP with DirectAdmin?

Softaculous says mysqli is not installed, but all of

/usr/local/php74/bin/php -i
/usr/local/php80/bin/php -i
/usr/local/php81/bin/php -i

show mysqli being included.
