Hi Devs,

a suggestion for you.

One of my customers would like users to be able to download a pdf. This can be done using the 'Download Button' module, that fetches a file from the media library.

What they can't do is make a hyperlink in the rich text module to do the same.

All it does in the rich text is put a link to the file as it is on the editor server not on the hosting server. Also if the file isn't a traditional media file it doesn't get transferred to the hosting server as it would if it was a 'Download Button' module.

Could you make it so a user can make a link in text to a file that can be downloaded?

Thanks

Dave

Hi,

The Best option will be to use Download Button as using href will also create unnecessary downloads of other files that a user can mention in href.

We will try to handle this in future but current download button will be the best option.

Do let us know if you need any other information.

Hi. I've used the download button and it's showing up fine in the the preview but on the published site the download button doesn't even appear.
