When PHP 7.2 has been released I decide to install it so I moved from PHP 7.1 to PHP 7.2 but an app was not yet supporting PHP 7.2 so I moved again to PHP 7.1

Now this app support PHP 7.2 so I moved to PHP 7.2 by leaving installed the PHP 7.1 for some days. All work fine so I decided to remove unused PHP 7.1 as soon I do this (removed from Webuzo PHP 7.1 not used) all PHP applications stop to work.

Seems PHP 7.2 is bugged or there are some issue, if is the only PHP nothing is working... So again I need to remove PHP 7.2 and migrate again to PHP 7.1

Today I installed and setup PHP 7.1
I leaved Webuzo and my website for different hours.

Website load and works. Tonight I discovered all PHP mail function was not working.

This is not the first time I found this issue on Webuzo. This issue is resolved if you restart the PHP.

There are something in Webuzo who are not working well with PHP. Sometimes issue are create on update PHP from System App, this time issue started because I installed again PHP 7.1 after removed and mail functions was not working I was unaware of that so I missed all email notification from all website, all PHP application.

This continue to repeated in time because issue never been resolved.
I reported this many time, I hope you will definitively look into this.

Seems you have deep issue with PHP maybe not only.
Today I found another bug on PHP 7.2 mcrypt is missing so I need to install and reconfigure PHP 7.1 again but problems do not stops here.

  • Installed PHP 7.1
  • Configured PHP 7.1
  • Unistalled PHP 7.2
Apache stop to run, all website down.Once again I see an old bugs error: No space left on device AH0023: couldn't create mpm-accept mutex
In all this time you do not resolved this PHP issue that made everything broken.
You are a good team but please fix all this PHP bugs. It's not possible that only to install or uninstall PHP let's Webuzo goes in total TILT. I need reboot the server for see all service work again as service Webuzo restart doesn't help.
So you create issue with the new PHP 7.2 because there are bugs but in addition to this if I work to resume the previous PHP I see others bugs that by uninstalling one of the two PHP made everything broken.
All time this issue occurs I have downtime. This downtime is not because I have hosting provider issue but because it's Webuzo!
Also I reported sometime PHP mail stop to work, I really hope you will not keep this bug as this issue about uninstalling some PHP that I continue to report but continue to see is not resolved.

Hi,

We are sorry that you have to face downtime, but let me clear up your issues

>>Today I found another bug on PHP 7.2 mcrypt

Mycrypt has been deprecated in PHP 7.2 thus we don't provide the extension even though there are workarounds on the web.

If you want to use an application which requires the above extension you should revert back to your old PHP version.

Also please keep in mind before upgrading to a new PHP version you should check all the dependencies and extension with your current website if they support the new version or not.

PHP upgrade is not a simple one-click process.

Check comments in this post: http://php.net/manual/en/book.mcrypt.php

>>Apache stop to run, all website down.Once again I see an old bugs error: No space >>left on device AH0023: couldn't create mpm-accept mutex

This is an OS and kernel level issue which is out of Webuzo's support scope you can contact your VPS provider regarding this

For temp fix you can refer this post:

Regarding this I am not sure you are right. As told I have no space issue and this error is created from the use of Webuzo when I removed PHP 7.2: Apache stop to run and was unable to work until the full reboot of the server.

This morning I notice that also access to Webuzo login page are not reachable. For me this is all bugs that I continue to face with the Webuzo use as when I update PHP from System App I face PHP mail issue. All this sound to be issue with Webuzo and PHP.

I will check again with the VPS provider but I really think this is not a provider or a VPS issue.
