Topic : Plan to fix MySQL start problem?

Posted By: apt94jesse on June 11, 2014, 2:47 pm
There are several long-ish posts on this board about MySQL not working.  There are also several solutions that are temporary fixes.  The fix that works for me is deleting all the ibdata files.  After that, MySQL starts just fine, however all of the DBs I was previously using are no longer working.

I feel like this is a known bug because of the amount of forum discussions surrounding it, and it has been present in at least three of my installations (different computers, win7 and win8) for ~1 year.

Long story short, any time my computer reboots without Ampps shutting down first, my entire environments break and I have reinstall any dbs I have, assuming I have backups.  Are there plans to remedy this issue in the (hopefully) not to distant future?
