Custom Script Failing since Softaculous Update, Broken custom script after latest update to Softaculous (5 Replies, Read 7766 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 14 Status:	We recently updated to Softaculous 6.0.9 using Cpanel (latest version - 120.0.16) . We have been using a custom script based on Wordpress we created. It stopped working after that recent update. We continue to see the following error in our logs... Quote PHP Fatal error: The file /var/softaculous/CUSTOM-NAME-HERE/php81/extend.php encoded as type [1/81] cannot be decoded by this version of the ionCube Loader. in Unknown on line 0 And a white screen when we click on our custom script installer in Softaculous. This only happened after the update. We took files from the WP installer (extend.php specifically) and updated our custom script, but to no avail. We tried switching Ioncube versions in Easyapache between Ion 12x (our original version) and Ion 13x. No luck...same error. Here is where our current status sits... PHP 8.1.29 (cli) (built: Jun 7 2024 21:33:52) (NTS) Copyright (c) The PHP Group Zend Engine v4.1.29, Copyright (c) Zend Technologies with the ionCube PHP Loader v12.0.5, Copyright (c) 2002-2022, by ionCube Ltd. with Zend OPcache v8.1.29, Copyright (c), by Zend Technologies What has happened?

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 14 Status:	Hello, OK...we narrowed it down. It seems all the encoded files had some changes from the WP install folder (/var/softaculous/wp). We had to redo our custom script installer and replace all the encoded files in the root and /php81 folder. This issue has now been resolved.

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5727 Status:	Hi, The issue is actually due to cPanel update and not Softaculous update. cPanel team updated their 3rd party PHP binary to PHP 8.3 : /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/php PHP 8.3 requires ioncube encoded files with PHP 8.2 or higher. So the old encoded files for PHP 8.1 did not work with latest PHP 8.3.x version in cPanel. To fix this issue as you copied the files from WordPress package for php81 you have to do the same for php82 folder (which works for PHP 8.2 and 8.3) and then the custom script should work fine. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 14 Status:	Thanks for the update. As we have found out, the original custom script was written by Softaculous. The encoded files were encoded by your team. We paid you for this special custom installer, but you never provided UN-encoded files as part of our purchase. We see a lot of differences now since this update, and thus it is completely broken even when moving the proper files from Wordpress, as something within your custom files is breaking now. We have a ticket open with you (ticket #726079), as we are still having issues and the custom script is completely broken. This has completely taken down our business. Hopefully you guys can rectify this.
