Hello everyone,

Sorry I don't speak and write English.

Until now I run with proxmox 7 since I removed proxmox then installed centos 7 with virtualizor.

I have VMs that had been backed up with proxmox in .zst extension (example of a VM: vzdump-qemu-101-2022_01_12-18_04_01.vma.zst)

Apparently virualizor backups and restores only in tar.gz, like converting my VM to tar.gz or if you have another solution to restore my backups.

I thank you in advance

zst is only a different compression algo.

You can decompress zst files with tar also. (But you need to have unzstd installed also)

Code
tar --use-compress-program=unzstd -xvf archive.tar.zst

After that you can again compress it as tar.gz

zstd on github:  https://github.com/facebook/zstd

you´re welcome. But just for curiosity... why don´t you go the "official" way?

https://www.virtualizor.com/docs/admin/proxmox-import-guide/

This might be far easier than what you are trying to do.

I no longer have proxmox installed. I removed it to install Centos 7 because proxmox 7 is not fully compatible.

After converting the VMs, virtualizor sees an error on restore (see screenshots).
