I'm looking for a high availability solution. I want a failover solution so that when server 1 goes down server 2 kicks on. Can this be done with DRBD? If not what other solutions are available? I know Virtualizor has a HA option but that is not an option for as I am running ubuntu on both servers. What can be in this case?

Firstly, if this is a physical server you’re talking about, you should seriously think about virtualizing it. If you virtualize it, you can replicate it to other hosts easily.

Also, you should investigate using windows failover clustering. Without knowing more about your infrastructure, I can’t advise further.
