Softaculous

Topic : ispconfig 3: db names and manual install recognition

Posted By: nowsales on October 20, 2014, 11:57 pm
we've got softaculous running quite smoothly on ispconfig, we however have two issues at the moment:

1. sites (mainly wordpress based) existing before the install of softaculous do not seem to be recognized/seen by softaculous, which I believe should be the case
2. when installing a package (for example limesurvey) a new db is created as expected, however without automatically adding the ispconfig customer prefix (for example C1_)

Any comments, workarounds/solutions regarding these 2 issues?

Thanx!

Hi,

1. You can import the installations to Softaculous and then manage them via Softaculous. Here is the guide for the same :
http://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_Import_an_Installation

2. At the moment we are not adding the prefix. We will make the changes and add it soon. Thank you for notifying this.

thank you for the information/reply:

1. we'll import the installations per your suggestion
2. another (extra) possibility might be to give the user te option to add tables in an already existing database for that specific ispconfig user (if available)
