I'm wanting to update my Moodle from 3.4.1 to 3.4.2 and haven't tried it through Softaculous with live students. Is there anything I should do besides backing up the current copy of my Moodle?

Well I think I answered my own question.

Once you complete the update for your Moodle through Softaculous, you will need to reinstall any plugins that were removed during the update process. Which I did, and all of the settings stayed the same, meaning the settings carried over to the new update, all the plugins had my configurations. I was pleasantly surprised.

Good times!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Yes the upgrade does not erase your settings. The plugins update procedure you need to do is to update the plugins for the updated Moodle version.

Let us know if you have any questions.
