I set up a duplicate server using the same license and then moved it to the same ip address. None of the websites worked but the admin panel did.
Does the license need to be activated remotely? Do I need a new one?
At any rate, all of the settings are the same and yet the server is not acting a as a server meaning the domain names didn't resolve to the correct folders.

Is there a process? Should I have a separate license for the duplicate server? Should it work using this approach? Is their a step that you do in verifying so that the server becomes functional?

Webuzo. I was able to see the websites when typing the ip address like so:
http://192.168.00.00/websitename.com (the numbers and name are just for example) but the domain name wouldn't resolve.

I did notice yesterday that in the Advance DNS Setting on Webuzo the DNS name was the correct ip address but the DNS record was the old ip.

So, my question: What caused the issue with the server when cut over with the same ip address to not resolve the domain name? Was it the Webuzo license or the DNS Record being wrong, both issues or something else entirely?

Without experience in this field and not understanding the license activation with Webuzo I am unsure how to test or what to do, what steps to take to trouble shoot.

The docs do not explain the license or if it activates or not or what happens if I use the license on two machine and yet give them the same ip.

God, I wish Webuzo had a phone number.

You can rebuilt your DNS records easily.

http://webuzo.com/wiki/Manage_NameServers

Update the IP and the Primary Domain to point for the new server and it should work smooth

Restart the services for once

Hope this helps :)

That was the problem. both 2002 and 2004 had the installed server's ip and not the production ip address.

Thanks again
