Topic : MODX installs broken (suddenly)

Posted By: phil_w on March 12, 2016, 3:40 pm
Hello all!

I'm suddenly unable to roll out MODx on any of my cPanel accounts. Has always been my preferred way to install MODx and enjoy the automated updates and backups :-)

Not sure if its since the MODx 2.4.3 update - after install and logging into the manager you immediately get a "Session Expired" error and asked to login again. Not all the manager layout is present either even if you could get rid of the login prompt.

If I delete the Softaculous version and install MODx manually all is fine.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I was unable to replicate the "Session Expired" issue on our test servers.

If you can open a support ticket with us and the details exactly which layout is missing we can check it asap.

Sorry for the delay.

I just did a COMPLETELY fresh install on a new domain via your installer and on FIRST login I get the "session expired" pop up asking to login again immediately.

So either this is a timezone thing or strange host thing (I'm with Hostdime UK).

I cannot use the auto installer now and not sure what has changed.

As before, if I install manually in the same directory all is ok :-(

Thanks,

Phil
