Hi,

Sir resizing of VPS is only possible in OpenVZ. You can not resize the VPS in KVM.

And we do not recommend you to use Multivirt. As it might give you issues.
We have received tickets from users regarding VMs get rebooted or not able to start due to kernel issues.

Openvz storage should be on path /vz.

It is not possible from Virtualizor.

At the moment there is not option to select Storage in Plan.
When you create VMs using plan, Virtualizor will take the primary storage to create VMs.

Thx, You say that the backup is possible in LVM+ZFS, but i Virtualizor backed up also OpenVZ and Thin LVM. Unsure if it was without downtime.

On my CentOS 6 OpenVZ kernel server i created 2 storages, one is "Thin LVM", RAW type and other "OpenVZ", QCOW2 type. Because i want thin provisioning and "Thin pool volumes cannot be reduced in size yet.", i was thinking to:

A) store both type of the VPS (KVM, OpenVZ) on single volume/storage (I assume it would have to be OpenVZ QCOW2 /vz type storage.) OR
B) do you suggest any good storage type for KVM while it will allow resizing on my old openvz kernel and also allows thin provisioning and no downtime backups?

Hi,

Sir backup is possible only in LVM and ZFS storage.

If you want to overcommit you can use thin LVM.

In LVM storage backups are taken live without any downtime of the VMs.
But to take backup on LVM you will need the space inside your VG.

It is not possible to access OpenVZ containers content from web browser.
You can use NoVNC to check VPS, but you should know root access of the VPS to login.

Hello,

i have CentOS 6.9 64bit, 500 GB SSD disk space (hardware raid 10) i want to have KVM and OpenVZ VPS's there. I will need to restore a few OpenVZ VPS full backups (vzdumps) and it will eat 60% of the disk space. (no media files, rather many small files)

I expect server will be short on disk space. Which "Storage type" should i create in Virtualizor?

My main concerns are:
- ability to create snapshots without downtime or like <1min. downtime for 250GB VPS
- snapshots/backups should be compatible and can be restored by other systems like SolusVM, Proxmox, HyperVM
- snapshots/backups able to be created on the network mounted drive (i know nfs, sshfs)
- ability to overcommit disk space

Which storage types are most suitable for this please?
