Hi,
I have a few feature requests for version control system front-ends.

Although howtos for svn and Apache2 + mod_dav are common on the internet, I have found that ViewVC and websvn look much better organised.

Gitlab is self-hosted and like Github.

ViewVC is python, can be configured in a number of ways.
Websvn is PHP

See the following links:

ViewVC:
http://www.viewvc.org/
http://viewvc.tigris.org/source/browse/*checkout*/viewvc/trunk/INSTALL

WebSVN:
http://www.websvn.info/
http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_subversion_websvn

Gitlab:
http://gitlab.com/
http://gitlab.org/gitlab-ce/
https://github.com/gitlabhq/gitlabhq/blob/master/doc/install/installation.md

As far as I have seen, SVN Manager is only a manager / admin tool and is not a web interface to SVN with diff and full tree browsing - trunk / branches / tags / revisions / diffs / etc.

At the minimum, websvn would be a great help to developers with VPS. Developers can store all the code securely on their own servers and not rely on some 3rd party source code repository which *may* be beyond budget in cases where one wishes to merely experiment with technologies.

Cloudforge is the only one with significant storage and a free plan, all others are just about 100MB or so. See http://www.svnhostingcomparison.com/

Also, Git users have https://bitbucket.org for private repos, true, but there is also some value in having one's own setup that one can backup entirely with a custom rsync-based script, IMO.

Thanks and regards,

SVN can also be really well managed with Trac (http://trac.edgewall.org/).

Having Trac as part of Webuzo could be a great idea.

I hope I don't come across as too demanding a user, I just would like to get a couple of complete SCCM packages by default so that the hassle of setting up repos and wikis and ticket trackers is removed.

This should definitely make life easier for developer users of Webuzo as we can host our source on our own servers without having to spend on remote pricey repos hosted in other countries.

Hi,

is there any plan to add GitLab to the softaculous apps? That would be awesome!

Thanks
